Mel Mallen
Hi everyone, I have been in the ski teaching business for many years. I have lived in Alpe d'Huez for 27 years, with my family, where we enjoy being part of the community. My knowledge and experience is vast, being a BASI trainer and examiner of ski instructors and ski school director in Italy & France. I am also an English Ski Council coach.
My ideas on skiing are to keep things simple and efficient, and to use the skis the way they were designed. For people who have poor confidence our ski school is one of the best, and we don't mess around teaching old fashioned techniques that don't control your speed. I also teach intermediate and advanced skiers, and provide concrete technical advice.
For me, the most important thing is that you enjoy yourself and ski in control. This is our aim at Masterclass Ski School.

Gerry Mallen
Gerry Mallen has been working in the ski industry for many years in New Zealand and in Europe as a ski instructor and ski host. She loves working with the Masterclass team and has many faithful returning clients . She has lived in Alpe d’Huez for 28 years and has a great knowledge of the area.
Alan Hole
Alan has been involved in English and British skiing since the late 60's. A former teacher, mountaineering instructor, BASI Trainer and Staff Coach of the English Ski Council. He was instrumental in establishing the first British ski school in Courchevel in 1991. For the past 23 years Alan has taught in Tignes and has now joined Masterclass in Alpe d'Huez. His teaching brings logic to the task, being clear, accurate and easy to understand for all abilities, be they beginners or skiers with some experience. Summers spent in Snowdonia see Alan either on the mountains or microlight flying around them.
